When Dave and Michelle German of Portofino purchased another new home in Southern Chandler, Dave was frustrated when he couldn’t get estimates from companies offering window coverings, landscaping and pools, let alone a call back.

That’s when Dave quit his high tech job and two weeks later started Elite Shutters & Blinds, “offering a lifetime quality product at a competitive price and industry-leading customer service.” That was in 2005, and within six months, German says the company had become a total referral business.
Now preparing to celebrate their second anniversary, he says Elite is on its way to achieving $1 million in revenue for 2007. They’re adding marketing support and new sales personnel for a continued fast track growth pattern for the next few years.
