Business Spotlight: Elite Shutters & Blinds

Elite Shutters & Blinds, recently recognized as a finalist by the 2009 Better Business Bureau, Business Ethic Awards and as a “Company to Watch” through the Arizona Small Business Association, offers FREE in-home estimates to Estrella residents on all patio shades and sunscreens.  In addition, discounted prices of 10% are being offered to Estrella residents on all roll-down patio shades.  This comes just in time to tame that Arizona sunshine this spring and into the summer months.
Elite Shutters & Blinds is your one-stop-shop for home improvement.  Owners, Dave and Michelle German, are preparing for their third store right here in Goodyear, located at 15411 West McDowell Road, Suite 104.  Their opening is scheduled for April and will give homeowners the opportunity to visit the showroom and see product samples, which include draperies, garage cabinets, garage floor coating, crown molding, soft water systems, sunscreens, patio shades and custom closets.  Customers will be pleased to know that they are buying quality products from a reputable company at industry leading prices.

Elite Shutters & Blinds has been doing business for the past 4 1/2 years.  Dave and Michelle German decided to start a business in September of 2005 after buying a brand new home in Gilbert.  The neighborhood’s HOA required window coverings within the first 60 days of move-in dates, yet after calling several companies, the couple was unsuccessful at getting anyone to return their calls for estimates or for their business.  That poor service prompted the Germans to start Elite Shutters & Blinds, offering homeowners the service that they deserved.  The term “Elite” is defined as “the choice or best of anything considered collectively.”  This word seemed appropriate and parallels the couple’s business philosophy.

“Many people asked me why I left the hi-tech world to start a window covering business in one of the most saturated industries in the Valley.  My standard answer is because homeowners in the Valley needed something different … something better!” states the owner of Elite Shutters & Blinds.
